Description

The United States Department of Agriculture/Office of Procurement and Property Management, Procurement Operations Division, IT Team, plans to issue a contract to Computer Associates on a sole source basis for the maintenance and upgrades of a suite of CA products used by the National Information Technology Center (NITC), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the Foundation Financial Information System (FFIS). The projected period of performance is a base year and 5 options years. The products used by NITC, FAA and FFIS are currently maintained and upgraded under USDA contract 53-3142-1-1016. This is not a request for proposal. No solicitation exists for this requirement and requests for a solicitation will not be acknowledged. The only known source currently providing maintenance and upgrades for this proprietary software is Computer Associates; however interested parties who can demonstrate their capability and experience in providing these services for CA software products may submit documentation which demonstrates those capabilities. Please submit your response to the Contracting Officer no later than November 5, 2004. A determination by the Government will be made if a competitive procurement is warranted. No telephone calls will be accepted. Submit your response to the POC identified in this notice via hardcopy or email.
