Description

This service project shall be a commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for the Campbell Fire aerial seeding application on the Norwood Ranger District, Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forest, Montrose County, Colorado. The total acreage to be seeded is 2,885 acres, which includes approximately 306 acres of Ponderosa pine. 2,579 acres will be seeded with approximately 39,660 pounds of seed, and 306 acres will be seeded with approximately 4,840 pounds of seed. Seeding rate is 15.38 PLS pounds per acre. The successful contractor shall furnish all equipment and personnel necessary to complete this firm fixed-price project. The seed, which will be purchased under separate contract, shall be stored and flown from Hopkins Field in Nucla, Colorado, for anticipated application in early November, 2004. This project is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. NAICS code is 115112; small business size standard shall not to exceed $6,000,000. Performance period shall be 1 day. It is anticipated the solicitation package shall be available no later than October 28, 2004 for download from this website exclusively (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). This is an electronic solicitation only. Any prospective contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov/) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires a DUNS number and may take up to two weeks to process. Registration in CCR immediately is recommended in order to be eligible for timely award.
