Description

This is a Commercial Item pre-solicitation notice for removal and disposal from Naval Air Station, Key West, Boca Chica Field, all vegetation except that which is classified as herbaceous from within the clear zone limits indicated as the project boundary on the drawings; removal and disposal from Government property of all trash and debris (except old anchor chains) that have been dumped on the site; remove red mangrove roots by hand to the underlying ground surface including submerged surfaces; and incidental related work. No heavy equipment will be allowed in the wetlands. Within the general site limits, provide vegetation removal from approximately 18.2 acres where indicated on the drawings. The intent is to provide an unobstructed surface that aircraft can roll over without damage caused by vegetation except that which is classified as herbaceous.
