Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into fully competitive negotiation with qualified sources of supply. The NAWCADLKE intends to procure three (3) each, Data Bus Network Tester, P/N S2476N, to be used on the V-22 aircraft. Description: A ruggedized, hermetically sealed, and manually calibrated by the user. The tester is comprised of a receiver and a detachable transmitter unit for remote testing. Displays and controls are mounted on the front panel of the receiver. The detached transmitter has controls on the front panel for independent functions. Both units have 24 hour minimum NI-CAD batteries for operation. Features are insertion loss display, pass/fail indications, shield test switches, receiver power switch, battery charging switch and power connection, and calibration controls. The tester can identify and locate: 1) short circuits between the twisted parts of bus or stubs. 2) open circuits on bus or stubs 3) cross-overs of twisted pairs, on bus or stubs 4) short circuits between either of the wires of the twisted pair to the shield/screen system 5) short circuits between either of the wires of the bus twisted pair to the shield/screen system. 6) detection of open circuit of short circuit bus termination resistors. 7) insertion loss between any two stubs in decibels in the range 0 DB to ?31 +/- 0.1 DB. The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, and consumable supplies to manufacture in its entirety. The Government does not own data rights or technical drawings. The government is anticipating a Firm Fixed Price Type contract. All finished Data Bus Network Testers are to be shipped FOB Destination by 1 JAN 2005. In addition, the packing/packaging shall be in accordance with best commercial practices. A Request for Quote (RFQ) will be faxed or emailed upon request. However all requests must be received within 15 days. Responses should reference N68335-05-T-0006. The RFQ will NOT appear on the NAVAIR Homepage. N68335-05-T-0006 will be issued on or about 2 NOV 2004. All contractors seeking award must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contracts cannot be awarded to contractors unless they are registered.
