Savage Creek Barrier Culvert Replacements - Project consists of removal of two existing corrugated metal pipe arches and installation of new structures that will allow fish passage (currently being designed). There is approximately 3-5 feet of fill over the existing culverts. The new structures will likely be bridges or bottomless arches. Work includes culvert removal, construction and installation of new structure, rebuilding the road in the vicinity of the new structure, and placing riprap. Instream work must occur between July 1 and August 15. The project sites are at milepost 5.1 on the Savage Pass Road 360 and milepost 0.2 on the Colt Creek Road 359. To access road 360, take the Elk Summit Road 111 from MP 163 on Hwy 12 (1.5 miles east of Powell), to road 360. Road 359 leaves road 360 at approximately milepost 6. Estimated price range: $75,000 - $300,000. Est. start work July 6, 2005. ALL INTERESTED QUOTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO VIEW THE SITES THIS FALL, AS THIS PROJECT WILL BE ADVERTISED PRIOR TO SNOWMELT IN THE SPRING OF 2005.
