SOLE-SOURCE: (CAGE: 72914) GRIMES AEROSPACE COMPANY OF URBANA OH. REQUIRED DATA TO MANUFACTURE THIS NSN ITEM IS IN THE SOLE POSSESSION OF GRIMES AEROSPACE COMPANY AND IS NOT OWNED BY THE GOVERNMENT. DRAWING NUMBER G9340A1 IS PROPRIETARY TO GRIMES AEROSPACE COMPANY. New manufacture solicited, but the Government will also consider quotes for Government or Commercial Surplus. Government Surplus criteria will be: Only New/Unused items will be accepted. Part number verification must be with CAGE 72914, P/N G9340A1. Prior Government ownership shall be evidenced by the item marking contained on the original shipping container or nameplate. There will be 100 percent End Item Inspection. No corrosion, rust, dents, or any other external damage that may suggest internal damage. TEST AND VERIFICATION WITH TECH ORDER NUMBER: 8A10-8-3-3. SURPLUS VENDOR SHALL PAY FOR ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH TEST AND VERIFICATION. Commercial Surplus criteria will be: Only New/Unused items will be accepted. Destination: Tinker AFB, OK FB2039 Required Delivery Dates (estimated ? the final dates will be reflected on the solicitation when issued): 4 EA - On or Before 31 December 2004 14 EA - On or Before 31 August 2005 Under the authority of FAR 6.302, the proposed contract action is for supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 30 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. NOTE: Faxed solicitation requests can be submitted to the buyer, James Chandler, Tinker AFB, at (405) 739-3462. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm listed. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) in the planned solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested parties may identify to the contracting officer, their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. FY05 FUNDS APPLY TO THIS ACQUISITION. AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS CLAUSE SHALL APPLY. NO OBLIGATION MAY BE INCURRED BY THE GOVERNMENT UNTIL FY05 FUNDS AVAILABILITY HAS BEEN CERTIFIED.
