Description
This procurement is to purchase Refueler Truck Repainting IAW specifications and attachments identified in the solicitation. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. This action will be a small business set aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811121 with a small business size standard of $6M. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 28 Sep 04 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.fedbizops.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/ amendments to any and all documents. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Information concerning CCR registered requirements may be viewed via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov or by calling the CCR Registration Center at 1-888-227-2423. The government reserves the right to evaluate and give evaluation credit for proposed features that exceed either the stated thresholds or objectives. The lowest price may not necessarily receive the award; likewise, the highest technically rated offer may not necessarily receive the award. P.O.C is SSgt Eric Sainz at (850) 283-1170 or e-mail: eric.sainz@tyndall.af.mil SOW:Vendor must comply with state and federal guidelines for painting motor vehicles. Vendor must meet military specifications/requirements identified in the Air Force Technical Order (T.O.36-1-3)for refueler trucks. A copy of the tech order may be made available upon request. Vendor location should be within reasonable distance (100 or so miles) for transporting refuelers to and from Tyndall AFB to the vendor by the customer (Del-Jen Logistics) for required work and upon completion. Delivery of trucks to the vendors will be made during business hours and on Saturday. Vehicles must be kept and parked in a secure area by the vendor. Painting should accomplished within 14 workdays for each truck. Vendor must have filtered enclosed area for painting to accommodate the size of a refueler truck, at least thirty-six feet long. The cab and the tank will require painting in the Air Force olive drab shinny chemical/acid resistant paint. Each truck will require removing and repairing rust as needed. Removal of decals and stencils as needed. Clean all surfaces ensuring they are ready for paint preparation, sand, mask, and otherwise prepare for paint as needed. Tape and cover areas not to be painted, no overspray. Paint refueler completely, reapply decals supplied by customer.
