Description: The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) intends to issue a contract to Verizon Federal for cable plant work to be accomplished at the Naval Support Facility, Thurmont MD. This requirement is deemed sole source because Verizon does not allow outside vendors into their cable plants. In accordance with FAR 5.203(a)(1) this contract will be issued to Verizon on 30 Sep 04. We anticipate using North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 517110, Wired Telecommunications Carriers, 1,500 employees. Comments and/or questions shall be submitted electronically to the contracting officer. Note 22 applies.
