Description

Project involves producing conifer tree seedlings for future reforestation efforts on the Rogue River and Siskiyou National Forests. An assortment of seedling species shall be grown as 1 year old stock in various container sizes including 5s, 8s, and 77s. Species include Douglas fir, sugar pine, Jeffery pine, ponderosa pine, incense cedar and Port Orford cedar. The estimated total quantity is 174,200. The location where seedlings are to be grown shall be located in or within 100 miles of the Oregon or Washington State borders, west of the Cascade Range. All seedlings produced are to be delivered to J. Herbert Stone Nursery in Central Point, Oregon. The solicitation will be issued on or about October 12, 2004. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. Note: prospective awardee shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base prior to award.
