Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and is issued as a Request for Quotation under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Solicitation Number is RFQ-NAS?0349-2004. The NAICS 511210 code applies to this solicitation. The size standard is $21.0 million. This RFQ is being issued incorporating FAR Provision: 52-211-6, Brand Name Or Equal (AUG 1999). The item description is as follows: Visual Mining?s DSMETER or equal, meeting the following minimum salient characteristics: NLM Platform; Developed in 100% pure C; Data collection is on a NDS/eDirectory Tree-by-Tree basis; NLM is Multi-Processor safe (i.e. aware and compatible; Administrator interface includes the ability to modify the AutoExec.NCF and automate the delivery and loading of NLMs at each server. Administrator interface can also automate the unloading of these NLMs and removal of AUTOEXEC.NCF modifications. In-depth tracking and auditing of all failed login requests/Events: Complete NetWare File System File activity tracking, restrict eDirectory/NDS object creation and deletion by Object Class Discover and uncover Hidden Objects within your eDirectory/NDS Tree; and complete eDirectory/NDS Object and Attribute activity tracking. Inventory NetWare Servers and discover; NetWare version, DS version, RAM, free space on the DOS partition of C: drive, CPU 0's type and speed rating Size of SYS:_NETWARE (directory where eDirectory/NDS stores its files)and free space on SYS: and on all other mounted volumes. Enterprise Solution; Integrate seamlessly into existing NDS/eDirectory Tree. NLM loaded at each NetWare server maintains its own set of audit activity files. The audit activity files are transmitted using Netware Core Protocol, uses NDS/eDirectory to store desired activity profiles. Administrator interface designed to facilitate your quick installation/de-installation. Discover and Disable Hidden NDS/eDirectory Accounts Track NDS/eDirectory Security Activity Additions to Security Equivalence, Changes in Group Membership or Roles, Successful Password Changes, Failed Password Changes, Object Creation/Deletion, Object Deletion, Changes in Object Security, and Changes in Inherited Rights Filters (IRFs). Track NDS/eDirectory Attribute Activity, Additions or deletions to any Attribute, track Login/Logout Activity, track "normal" Logins (i.e. those that use a connection license), track Logouts track Bindery Login Attempts, track Failed Login Attempts - bad account name, track Failed Login Attempts - bad password used and track failed NDS Account Name Lookups, for each action tracked, the following will be recorded; NetWare Server where action occurred, TCP/IP address of where action originated or the physical network address, Account Named used in the Action - includes Failed Logins. Track NetWare File System Security Activity; track changes in file system security that result in Supervisory privileges, track changes in file system security that result in other privileges, track NetWare File System Data Activity, track file open operations, and track file changes (writes, read, delete, salvage, and purge). Each record created includes; Tracking Action, Who requested the Action, The specific file object the Action was requested upon, Whether or not the Action was blocked, and the time the Action occurred. The TCP/IP or physical address of workstation Action was requested from, For Rename Actions - the name the file object was being renamed to For Salvage Actions - the name the file object was being restored to Control NDS/eDirectory Object Creation/Deletion by Object Class. Restrict NDS/eDirectory object creation and/or deletion, Restrict operations by NDS/eDirectory Object Class and define users allowed by Group or Organizational Role membership. Control NetWare File System Creation/Deletion and overwrites; Block Creation, Renaming, Modification and/or Deletion of Files, and Use wildcards in any part of the directory path, Visual Drag-and-Drop, Rules-Based Reporting Engine. Allows customized reports to suit exact needs. All items tracked can be used as filters in reports. Report by Date, Location, Action, etc, and includes several ready to run reports or to customize. Data Collection; collects NDS/eDirectory and NetWare File System activity that has been defined by the administrators. Each server gathers activity as defined by Profiles. Every 30 minutes, servers will transmit their log files to the Repository Server selected by the administrator. Filenames for log files are formed by using the Profile ID plus an extension. Filename extensions become .000, 001, etc. Each will be grown up to about 1MB before using the next extension.
