- The Deployable Joint Command and Control (DJC2) System Joint Program Office (JPO), Panama City, FL, will conduct an INDUSTRY DAY to present the current status of the DJC2 Program, describe the JPO?s general plans for the Increment II acquisition, and solicit industry inputs regarding DJC2?s tentative acquisition approach, risk reduction/mitigation, technology insertion, and other related issues. Current Increment II plans anticipate the award of a contract for System Design and Development with options for limited production and support. Currently, the JPO anticipates contract award in the first half of FY06 with initial system deliveries in mid-FY08. DJC2 Industry Day is being scheduled to coincide with but not overlap the National Defense Industrial Association?s Expeditionary Warfare Conference scheduled for 18-21 October 2004 at the Marriott Resort Hotel, Panama City, FL. DJC2 Industry Day will start at 2 p.m. CDT on October 21st at the same hotel, immediately following the close of the conference. The tentative agenda for the meeting includes a presentation providing: 1. An overview of the DJC2 ACAT IAM evolutionary acquisition program. 2. A detailed description of the Navy?s efforts on Increment I. 3. The Program Manager?s (PM?s) objectives and expectations for the Increment II effort. 4. The basic operational and technical underpinnings of the Increment II requirements. (The JPO anticipates that attendees will be briefed on the draft solicitation?s Statement of Objectives.) 5. A tour of the DJC2 Increment I development site and systems. The Industry Day event will consist of briefings and open discussions on the afternoon of 21 October, followed the next morning by a tour/visit to the development site on the campus of the Naval Support Activity, Panama City. Industry Day will conclude after the tour, which is expected to end no later than 12 p.m. CDT on 22 October. Industry Day briefings and any discussions will be unclassified. To facilitate meeting planning, each company attending Industry Day is required to submit (on company letterhead) a list of all planned attendees. The document shall provide, as a minimum, the following information for each planned attendee: 1. Full Name of Attendee 2. Job Position Title 3. Country of Citizenship 4. Will Attend DJC2 Site Visit at NSWC-PC: Yes or No 5. A point of contact with telephone number and email address in case there are any questions related to the submission. Submission of the list by mail or facsimile is acceptable and must be received no later than 3 p.m. CDT, 18 October 2004, by the contracting office listed below.
