Description
Notice of Intent SUBJECT: Boarding Dock, Success Lake, Porterville, Sacramento County, California. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Contractor is to provide the following dock delivered to Success Lake, Porterville, California, built to Hallsten drawing # 10038 dated 9 October 2002 or equal to include: One 4 wide X 20 long; Aluminum Gangway to include: Aluminum box beam frame, Aluminum cross frames on 4 centers, Aluminum decking ribbed, knurled and sandblasted Handrails both sides meeting UBC requirement for 4 with opening and ADA requirements for projecting interior grab rail and end loops. On outboard end 4 x 8 x 6 polystyrene floatation with bottom plate Toe ramp 4 long and full width Hinge assembly to dock; Two 6 wheels on inboard end. Two 8 Wide x 20 long aluminum docks to include: Polystyrene floatation within polyethylene tubs, which provides 35 lbs per square foot live load. Aluminum frame and aluminum decking ribbed and sand blasted. Galvanized structural tubular ends for frame connection, hinging and for corner leg attachment. 4  6 wheels mounted on braced steel legs Vinyl fender/bumper full length on each side 6  12 aluminum cleats on each dock; End dock with vinyl fend er/bumper on outboard end. This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations. The US Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District intends to award the contract to Hallsten Corporation, 6944 34th Street, North Highlands CA 95660. The Government will consider responses rec eived within 10 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. All responses must include a qualification statement showing that all characteristics of these items being purchased stated above can be met. A determination by the Government not to co mpete this proposed contract is within the discretion of the Government. All responses are due in not later than 24 SEP 04/1300 (1:00 pm PST). This Procurement will be conducted under FSC Code: 1945, SIC Code: 4491, NAICS Code: 488310. The size standard fo r this code is 500 employees.
