Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR FAC 2001-24. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and is issued as a Request for Quotation. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Solicitation Number is FA4809-04-Q-0430. The NAICS code 442210 applies to this solicitation. The size standard is 500 employees. The item description is as follows: Manufacturer is Patcraft (OR EQUAL), Highlands 28, Roll Call and Homeroom 28, Teacher's Pet. CLIN 0001: Purchase and installation of Industrial / Heavy Duty carpet, requested color is Hunter Green Multicolor, 327 yards, 28 oz. CLIN 0002: Purchase and installation of Industrial / Heavy Duty carpet, requested color is Beige Multicolor, 347 yards, 28oz. CLIN 0003: Everboard (OR EQUAL) premium laminate backing, moisture proof. A site visit is scheduled for 23 Sep 04 at 1000am, Southern Eagle Dining Facility, 3650 Pope Street, Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina. All prospective vendors must attend this meeting in order to make a proposal due to the need of viewing contractor carpet samples. This solicitation will be posted on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) Internet website only. *****STATEMENT OF WORK***** 1. SCOPE: The work covered by these specifications consists of furnishing all plans, labor, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide and install carpet for Building 3650. 2. LOCATION: Services are to be performed at the Southern Eagle Dining Facility, located at 3650 Pope Street, Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina. 3. WORK WEEK: The period of performance for this project is 12 ? 19 October 2004. The daily performance schedule is from 9:00am through 5:00pm. Any deviations from this schedule shall require approval from the end user. 4. VISITING SITE: A Site Visit is scheduled for 23 Sep 04 at 1000am. All interested Contractors must attend this meeting if interested in submitting a proposal. Carpet samples are requested from each Contrator during this visit. A description for each type is listed within paragraph 9. Contractor will be responsible for any and all measurements pertaining to successful completion of this project, to include contractor-supplied materials or parts. 5. WORKMANSHIP: All workmanship will comply with standard trade practices. 6. CLEANING: Contractor shall keep the work site free from accumulation of waste materials. All waste generated by any work under this contract shall be handled, transported, stored, and disposed off base by the contractor in accordance will all applicable Federal, State, and local laws. Daily and upon completion of this contract, the contractor shall leave the work site and premises in a clean, neat workable condition, satisfactory to the end user and Contracting Officer. 7. PROTECTION OF FACILITY: The Contractor shall be responsible for protection of grounds, buildings, and equipment therein while performing services called for in this contract. 8. WARRANTY: Contractor will guarantee all material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from completion of work. 9. ORDER OF WORK: Contractor shall remove existing carpet and use existing cove base. Contractor shall install new carpet by direct glue down method, approximately 671 square yards. Contractor shall provide all necessary supplies to include floor patch, reducer, seam sealer, adhesive, etc. Carpet Samples must consist of Industrial / Heavy Duty Carpet, 28oz. The two colors requested are: (1) Hunter Green Multicolor, to be installed in the HIGHLAND Dining Area and (2) Beige Multicolor, to be installed in the CAPES Dining Area. These carpets shall have a premium back called Everbond Laminate or equal. Contractor shall use adhesive designed for and recommended by the carpet manufacturer for the type of backing attached to the carpet. Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing carpet according to local and state laws. The Floor will be patched by Contractor as necessary. Contractor will not be responsible for moving furniture.
