Description

The Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Charleston, South Carolina 29401-5799,VISN 7, has a sole source requirement to be issued to Thor Industrial Services, 5555 Camp Creek Rd, Lancaster, S. C. 29720, for services to furnish all labor and equipment to hydro-blast tubes, interior side of steam and mud drum and vacuum three (3) Babcock & Wilcox 20,000 pressure boilers located at the VA Medical Center, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, S. C. for the period October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005, with four options years. FAR 6.302 authorizes sole source procedure. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 561210 with a size standard of $6.0 million. The procurement will be conducted utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in FAR Part 13 in conjunction with commercial items procedures of FAR Part 12. The solicitation will be available on or about September 17, 2004. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their services meet VA requirements, to the Contracting Officer or by fax to 478-274-5583. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Requests for hardcopy solicitation must be in writing to the Contracting Officer. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Any and all questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing and faxed to the Contracting Officer. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be available at the URL addresses.
