Description

Red River Army Depot intends to issue a solicitation resulting in a requirements type contract for following strip stock rubber, in support of its track rebuild program. The NSNs, nomenclature compounds and sizes follow. Nsn 264000x960135, 0135 Strip Stock, Compound RMT-TP/TS, Strip Size 2 ? 1/8 X ? ? 2/32, quantity - 560,000 lbs; 264000X010262, 0135 Master Batch, Compound RMT-TP/TS-Master Batch, Strip Size 2 ? 1/8 X ? ? 2/32, quantity  80,000 lbs; 264000X970149, 0149 Strip Stock, Compound RMTWA, Strip Size 3 ?1/8 X 3/8 ? 2/32, quantity  1,800,000 lbs; 264000X010261, 0149 Master Batch, Compound RMTWA- Master Batch, Strip Size 3 ?1/8 X 3/8 ? 2/32, quantity  80,000 lbs; 264000X020235, 0235 Strip Stock M88, Compound RMTWAH, Strip Size 3 ?1/8 X 3/8 ? 2/32, quantity  445,000 lbs; 264000X970085, 0085 Strip Stock P12, Compound RMTWB, Strip Size 2 1/8 ? 1/8 X 3/8 ? 2/32, quantity - 145,000 lbs. All quantities are estimates only. This solicitation will result in a requirements type contract with no guaranteed quantities and no funds obligated by the award of the base contract. Contract period will be 12 months with a 12-month option period. The compound formulation will be provided after receipt of a signed nondisclosure statement. The 0135 Strip Stock must comply with MIL-T-11891. The 0149 Strip Stock, the 0235 Strip Stock and the 0085 Strip Stock must comply with MIL-DTL-3100H. Samples i n proper strip size are required for first article testing (FAT) for firms who have not previously provided this product to this Depot. 150 pounds of the 0135 rubber, 500 pounds of 0149 rubber, 500 pounds of 0235 rubber, and 200 pounds of 0085 rubber. Sa mples for FAT must be provided in advance of the date set for receipt of proposals. FAT will consist of physical properties testing, TGA and adhesion testing on a pad insert and track shoe or road wheel.
