Description

THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF STANDARDS AND TECHNOLOGY INTENDS TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER TO THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF Far part 13.106(1)(b) - Only one resposible source. The requirement is to allow NIST to participate in the University Center for Process Analytical Chemistry's (CPAC) activities, interact with other members in the identification of industiral process-measurement problems, and to work collaboratively on technical approaches for provisions of the Standard-infrastruture The University is uniquely qualified because the CPAC is the only U.S. organization devoted to pre-commercialization research on the analytical methods, instrumentation and standards methods of the process industry. It is anticipated that an award will be made on or about September 20, 2004. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is sole within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. There is not solicitations available.
