Description

The International Boundary & Water Commission, United States Section (USIBWC), intends to acquire on the basis of Other Than Full and Open Competition twelve months of security equipment and monitoring services for the period 10/01/04 through 09/30/05. This is a Notice of Intent to award a firm fixed-price purchase order modification for the above service in the amount of $6,502.80 to S&E Investments, Inc., dba Sonitrol of El Paso, 4042 Doniphan, El Paso, TX 79922 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The equipment currently installed is leased and associated monitoring services obtained from Sonitrol. The proposed action is for equipment and services for which the Government intends to solicit with only one source. There is no solicitation document available. During the contemplated extension, the Government intends to solicit for a new system, including installation and monitoring services for a new contract with an effective date of 10/01/05. This notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Assertion of capability to provide required equipment and services must be submitted in writing to Colleen Elliott, International Boundary & Water Commission, US Section, 4171 North Mesa, Building C, Suite 100, El Paso, Texas 79902-1441. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561621 for Alarm Systems Sales Combined with Installation, Maintenance, or Monitoring Services.
