Description
Training program to be held in Moscow, Russia on October 11-15, 2004. Program topic to be trafficking in persons and address reactive, proactive, and disruptive investigations; provide a presentation addressing the trafficking victim as a witness, post traumatic stress and victim survival strategies; provide a continuous risk assessment for victims/witnesses of trafficking. Audience will be approximately 25 attendees from the Russian Ministry of Interior. The provider must be knowledgeable and skilled in the subject area of trafficking in persons as it pertains to the Southeastern European region. Must be effective in making presentations before an audience while interacting and engaging in discussions dealing with the trafficking of persons. Provider must, as part of the presentation, develop practical exercises to apply the knowledge imparted in their presentations. Provider must be familiar with national and international law enforcement communities-particularly those in the Eastern European region, environments, and training. Provider must be able to interact constructively with law enforcement practitioners from foreign nations. Provider must have an understanding of the trafficking in persons training that the U.S. currently provides internationally. Finally, and of upmost importance, the provider must possess knowledge and experience in the area of the drafting of anti-trafficking legislation in Southeastern European countries.
