Description

This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources for Gyroscopes, NSN 5895-01-213-9127, BAE Systems Inc., P/N 13100; NSN 6615-01-213-9126, BAE Systems Inc ., P/N 13120 and NSN 6615-01-256-9474, BAE Systems Inc., P/N 13150. The current source for these systems is BAE Systems Inc., Cage Code OVWL8. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of these units is not available from the Army. These it ems are source-controlled for use on CH-64 and UH-60 helicopters by U.S Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) (https://www3.redstone.army.mil:7443/pls/trweb/trwebdba.trweb_home). Listing in AMCOM database (Sector 28) as a qualified source is a vendor requirement for bidding on procurement of source-controlled items, including key avionics systems and related items. CECOM, as a sustainment command, is constrained to utilize only qualified sources for such material. BAE Systems Inc., Cage Code OVWL8 is currently listed as source-controlled vendor. Vendors interested in establishing source-controlled status may contact AMCOM to apply. The AMCOM Competition Advocate website defines the necessary submission requirements for six categories based on vendor experience and flight-safety criticality (http://www.redstone.army.mil/cgi-bin/casl/index.pl). Suppliers capable of furnishing these units must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AA, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 077 03-5043. The response must include documentation such as copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with units that will be physic ally and functionally interchangeable with the units from the previous supplier. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that this item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
