Description
“This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command.” The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, intends to award a Contract on a Sole Source basis to Zeller Research, 500 Wood St., Bristol, RI 02809 for parts and labor to convert twenty (20) sonar band digital time series data received on ANSI/VISTA-17 (FPDP) 32-bit parallel interface, at a 33Mhz rate, to analog signals. The analog signals must have a S/N ratio of 104dBv/Hz ½ and a bandwidth of 60Khz. There must be at least eight analog channels per card. The cards shall be of VME 6U architecture. The filtered outputs shall provide single-ended and differential output signals for use by the torpedo received or pre-amp. The Government plans to issue a request for written quote to Zeller Research using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The anticipated award date is 20 Aug 2004. The action is being processed on a Sole Source basis due to the fact that ZRL Research circuit cards were integrated as the real-time acoustic interface to the CBASS torpedo sonar processors and need to be completely compatible with the existing WAF hardware and software. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (06-AUG-2004). IT ACTUALLY APPEARED OR REAPPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 08-SEP-2004, BUT REAPPEARED IN THE FTP FEED FOR THIS POSTING DATE. PLEASE CONTACT fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
