Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Austin Automation Center, Austin, Texas intends to negotiate a sole source contract to Koetter Fire Protection, Pflugerville, Texas 78660 for custom Notifier Fire Alarm System work. Description of work: Phase 1 - Upgrade the Fire Alarm Notification System: The scope of work for this portion of the project is to upgrade the graphic annunciation feature of the existing fire alarm system. The existing system includes two Notifier AFP-400 control panels and one Notifier VGAS terminal. This system upgrade shall be UL listed equipment compatible with the current fire alarm system or be arranged to make it so. Contractor shall furnish the necessary panel(s), wiring, software, computer, and other equipment in order to accomplish this objective. This scope of work must be performed so as not to void any current warranties. Phase 2 - Fire Protection System Survey: Provide labor and material to perform a complete survey of the existing fire protection system. All responses from responsible sources will be considered. Responses must include sufficient documentation to allow this office to evaluate the possibility of your firm to submit a valid proposal. Sufficient documentation shall include but not limited to the following information: 1) Notifier certification to work on their systems without voiding any existing warranties and 2) be able to give the AAC a two-hour service response for warranty services. The determination to open competition based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. All responses must be submitted in writing within 5 calendar days of publication of this notice. Written responses can also be faxed to 512/326-6028.
