Description

VA VISN 22 Network Business Center Logistics Office intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with 3M Healthcare under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to obtain services for the Government?s 3M ETO Sterilizers, ETO Aerators and ETO Abator. Services to include preventative maintenance inspections, unlimited technical support, unlimited emergency repairs and service, and all replacement parts required to maintain the sterilizers at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center San Diego. The Government intends to award a firm, fixed price contract for one (1) year considered as the base year, with the Government?s option to exercise four (4), one (1) year renewal periods, for the delivery of the aforementioned services to the VAMC San Diego, CA Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received by 3:00 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time, September 22, 2004, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
