Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) is planning to issue a contract for the repair and overhaul of unserviceable units of the Data Transfer System which consists of the Data Transfer Receptacle (DTR) and Data Transfer Cartridge (DTC). The Government does not possess complete technical data (drawings or specifications); the proposed source is Rockwell Collins, Inc., Collins Avionics and Communications Division, Cedar Rapids, IA. the only known source as per Justification for Other Tha n Full and Open Competition, Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C)(1), Only One Responsible Source, FAR 6.302-1. SEE NOTE 22.
