- NAICS Code: 513340 RFQ-DC-04-00287 - Iridium/Motorola Satellite Phone Request for Quotes This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and an additional written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quote number is RFQ-DC-04-00287 for this requirement. The applicable NAICS code is 517410(2002)/513340(1997). It is the Government?s intent to award a Purchase Order by September 30, 2004 to the vendor whose quote provides the best value to the Government for the items listed below: Item #1 (Quantity 74) ? 9505 Portable Satellite Phone Kit with SIM Card Item #2 (Quantity 74) ? High Capacity Lithium Ion Battery (for 9505) Item #3 (Quantity 74) ? Data Kit with CD (for 9505) Item #4 (Quantity 74) ? Prepaid Service Plan 500 minutes/year (for 9505) Item #5 (Quantity 15) ? Fixed Indoor-Use Unit (Iridium-Service Compatible) with Fixed Mast/Permanent Mount Antenna, Transceiver, Coaxial Cable, and 120 Volt AC Power Supply to be Used with Standard Office Phone (e.g., no need for a portable 9505 phone). NOTE: Antenna to be mounted on roof of a multi-story unit, potentially 30+ stories; the phone/handset may be several stories below (150+ feet away from fixed unit) Item #6 (Quantity 15) ? Prepaid Service Plan 500 minutes/year (for Fixed Unit) For potential orders placed against the Purchase Order, there may be multiple ship to destinations. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items; 52.212-3, Offeror Representations & Certifications-Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. The specific evaluation criteria to be included are the following: a) technical capability, b) price, and c) past performance. For the past performance evaluation, provide three references with contact information. Vendors must include a completed copy of 52.212-3 with their quote.
