- Description
- The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the Coalition for American Trauma Care (CATC). This requirement is being procured in accordance with Title XII, Trauma Care, Section 1201, P.L. 101-590, authorized by P.L. 105-392. The purpose of this procurement is to (1) Collect and report to the Federal Program information on the public?s attitudes, level of awareness, and general understanding of trauma care and trauma systems availability in their communities; (2) Develop recommendations for the public information and education component of the Federal Program?s strategic plan; and (3) Share findings and recommendations with the Federal Program, trauma stakeholders/partners and State trauma system managers through a variety of written, web, and meeting formats. Any other organization would have to spend significant resources to develop the database that CATC already has. Therefore, CATC is the only responsible source without substantial duplication of cost to the Government under authority 41 U.S.C. 253(1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). This requirement will be awarded under FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated period of performance is for eight (8) months. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541990. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is on file. Fifteen (15) days from the date of the issuance of this notice, the Contracting Officer will proceed in accordance with FAR regulations to award a purchase order to CATC.
