Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) plans to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to The National Academy of Sciences, Washington, DC, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The object of this requirement is to acquire a one-year member to the Government-University- Industry Research Roundtable (GUIRR). The National Academy of Sciences is the only source for this membership. Period of performance will be for one year (twelve months). The anticipated award dated of this order is on or about five (5) days from the date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. Interested persons may identify their intent and capability to respond to this requirement no later than the response date above. A determination by the Government no to complete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
