- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Quotes are due to the 55th Contracting Squadron no later than close of business on3 Sep 2004. Quotes shall be submitted via e-mail in a Word, Excel, or PDF format to: wynona.rath@offutt.af.mil. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-24. This procurement is set aside 100% for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code and small business size standard are 813110 and $6,000,000 respectively. The government intends to issue a purchase order for the items set forth below, subject to the availability of funds. TITLE: Praise Team Leader LOCATION: 1900 Saturday Contemporary Worship Service, Capehart Chapel Offutt AFB, NE 68113 QUALIFICATIONS Have five years exposure in a Protestant military worship environment. Have a pleasing voice and be a good singer. Have five years experience using traditional and contemporary Christian music in a worship environment. Have the ability to set up and work with sound equipment used for the 1900 Saturday Contemporary Worship Service. Have ability to conduct rehearsals with instrumentalists and vocalists from the worship team, as well as other participants in rehearsals and the worship services. Have a sense of calling to this ministry at the 1900 Saturday Contemporary Worship Service. Be willing to work in and be fully conversant with the pluralistic environment of the USAF Chaplain Service. Member must have never been arrested or charged with a crime involving a child. Member must have never been asked to resign because of or been decertified for a sexual offense. STATEMENT OF WORK Conduct 52 units of regular service requirements, 52 units for rehearsals and 6 additional units for miscellaneous services as coordinated with the Senior Protestant Chaplain, Chaplain in Charge of Service. In coordination with the chaplain in charge of the service, will arrange for special music anthems or presentations for: Seasonal Worship Services, Holy Days, Funerals, Memorials Select music from traditional and contemporary Christian music sources that will enhance the worship experience. Final approval on all selections rests with the chaplain in charge of the service. Will arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to each service he/she is scheduled to perform and 15 minutes prior to rehearsals to allow for preparation of musicians, choir, and any other details, which may arise. Prepare and coordinate Power Point slides of all selected songs for each service. Lead congregational singing during each worship service, assisted by the worship team. Recruit and schedule participation by other soloists, ensemble groups, or instrumentalists as necessary and appropriate. The chaplain in charge of the service must approve the participants. Schedule one rehearsal each week with the members of the worship praise team. Rehearsals with other participants will coincide with the regular rehearsal and will not be considered an extra service. Perform all listed services agreed to herein or provide and reimburse a suitable substitute. The chaplain in charge of the service must approve all notices of substitution. Will work in cooperation with chaplain in charge in planning the yearly calendar and worship music budget. Inputs for the calendar and budget should be submitted no later than 1 June for the new fiscal year. Will be appropriately attired for all worship services. Will be directly responsible for securing chapel facilities when used after duty hours. SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES CHAPEL SECTION RESPONSIBILITIES a. The chapel will provide necessary program specific supplies and equipment. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES a. The Contractor will provide any specific supplies and equipment to include: (1) Personal Transportation (2) Contractor preferred equipment or supplies b. The Contractor will provide the skills, training, competency, attitude and spiritual strength that will be needed to meet all requirements contained in this statement of work.
