Description

The i a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented iwth additional informtion included in this notice.This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued.This solicitation documentation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisiton Circular 90-32.The Library of Congress has a requirement to purchase the following equipment: (1) Kasemake 2000 Design System, model KMS504A Library, Archival Box Maker, to include: Kasemake CXD Phase Box Design Software for (2) users, KMS504A Library/Archive Box Maker, Compressor (Kestrel Whispair), and Training/Installation . All items shall be delivered within sixty days after receipt of order. Destination FOB: Library of Congress, Receiving Unit, Landover Center Annex, 1701 Brightseat Road, Landover, Maryland, 20785. The following provisions apply to this acquisition; 52.212-1 Instruction to Offeror-Commercial and 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (under this clause the following clauses have been modified by the Library of Congress; 52.233-1 Disputes, 52.232-25 Prompt Payments. These clauses hall be available upon written request) offerors shall include a complete copy of this provisions at 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certification-Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement Statutes of Executive Order - Commercial Items apples to this acquistion (under this clause the following clause have been modified by the Library of Congress; 52.223-3 Convict Labor and 52.215-2 Audit and Records Negotiations. These clauses hall be available upon written request.)The following FAR clauses are applicable under 52.212-5;52.222-26 Equal Opportunity, 52.222-35 Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers; 52.211-5 New Material.
