Description

This procurement will be conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) according to a combination of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 15, Negotiations. The Government may award a contract on the basis of initial offers received, without discussions. Therefore, each initial offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a cost/price and technical standpoint. The Government will consider a single contract award contingent upon best value and the offeror?s ability to meet all requirements. Provide all labor, material, chemicals and parts as required to maintain in fully operating condition Castle/Sybron and Amsco Brand gas and steam washer/sterilizers, dryers and aerators at VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN for the period of October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005 with option to renew for 2 additional 12-month periods; provide a service technician by 8:00 a.m. on the first work day of each month to ensure all equipment is in normal operating condition; provide all inspection, adjustments, lubrication, installation of replacement parts and testing during scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) inspections; respond ON-SITE to requests for breakdown repairs same day within 4 hours of verbal request; perform PM inspections every 90 days by factory-trained personnel.
