Description
The Dayton VA Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole-source contract under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1(a)(2) for a base year with four one-year optional renewal periods. The agency need is for extended service maintenance warranty for (1) government owned Winstation 1400 FA/Color System and (1) government owned Winstation Review Station, located at the VA Medical Center Dayton, OH, Optometry Department. The contractor shall provide all services, materials and equipment necessary for the repair/service of Winstations located at the VA Medical Center, Dayton, OH, to ensure dependable and reliable operation of the equipment to assure continued operation at their designed efficiency and capacity. This will include, but is not limited to, unlimited telephone support for hardware and operating system, exchange modules for any defective components external to the CPU, on site repairs, free Winstation Software upgrades supported by our existing Winstation Operating system. The government has determined that Opthalmic Imaging Systems is the only responsible source able to provide these services due to proprietary software and OEM hardware replacement parts necessary. If offerors feel that they can meet the needs of the government they should submit proposals to the Contracting Officer no later than the due date and time specified. Information submitted will be evaluated, with final determination on offeror?s qualifications and ability to meet the need of the government resting with the Contracting Officer.
