Description
The purpose of this amendment is to respond to technical questions submitted against RFP Number N00173-04-R-RS07. Question 1: SOW paragraph 4.0. May we assume there is also a requirement for a Rigid Waterproof Storage Case as stated in the paragraphs addressing each of the other detectors in the SOW (5.0 through 7.0)? Answer 1:Yes Question 2: SOW paragraph 6.1.5. The field of view, both WFOV and NFOV are stated in inches, but without reference to distance. It is not possible to compute the actual FOV being specified without more information. Can you please clarify the FOV in degrees? Answer 2: The requirements stated in Paragraph 6.1.5 of the SOW are hereby revised to read as follows: "1) Wide Field of View (WFOV), 11 degrees (h) x 9 degrees (v) 2) Near Field of View (NFOV), 3.7 degrees x 2.9 degrees" Question 3: SOW paragraph 7.1.3. This paragraph specifies detector material, InSb (Indium Antimonide), which seems to be in error. InSb is normally used in cooled applications in the 3-5 micron spectrum, not uncooled LWIR. Should we ignore the InSb reference? Answer 3:The requirement stated in Paragraph 7.1.3 is hereby revised to delete the reference to InSb. Question 4: SOW paragraph 8.0. Subparagraph 8.1.4, the Recording Units, is the only subparagraph which refers to power supply requirements (6-16 VDC), yet other elements of 8.0, namely 8.1.2 and 8.1.3, also require power. Can you please clarify the power requirements? Also, throughout the SOW, the detector paragraphs generally refer to VAC requirements in addition to the VDC. We believe this may have been overlooked in 8.0 overall, and would appreciate clarification. Answer 4: The Government requests that everything have the option of being powered by either V DC or V AC at the Government operators discretion. Question 5: In general, it appears that the Navy is seeking battery operation for every element of the SIAS; but it is not clear that VAC is required in all cases. Could you please clarify? Answer 5: See Answer 4, above. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (19-AUG-2004); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE. PLEASE CONTACT fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
