- This is a Request For Quote (RFQ) in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are hereby being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N66001-04-Q-1766. This is a Small Business Set Aside and the Government intends to procure on a competitive basis the following service for development and placement of descriptive articles on FORCEnet, and on the technical achievements of Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego in relation to FORCEnet, in appropriate publications as described in Section 3.1 of attached Statement Of Work. Award of this purchase order will be based upon the lowest priced, technically acceptable quote. To determine this criteria the quoter must demonstrate past experience as follows: Provide a brief description (one page or less each) of three projects performed for previous clients within the past three years on similar tasks to that described in the Statement Of Work. Descriptions will include title and publication date of the article, name of the publication, and a point of contact who can verify performance. For the point of contact, the quoter will provide name, telephone number, mailing address, and e-mail address. Description of projects related to publications in the provided list is particularly encouraged. Publication List: Armed Forces Journal, Army Times, Aviation Week and Space Technology, Janes International Defense Review, Defense News, Federal Computer Week, Government Computer News, Naval Aviation News, Naval Institute Proceedings, Navy Times, Signal magazine, Surface Warfare magazine, Undersea Warfare magazine, Wired. Naval professional organization magazines such as Tailhook, Marine Corps Gazette, etc. "Numbered Note 1" applies, all offers received within 10 days (in lieu of 45 days) after date of publication of original synopsis will be considered by the Government. All eligible, responsible sources may submit an offer. Facsimile quotations are acceptable and must be received on or before the closing date. Facsimile quotations may be sent to (619) 553-9068.
