Description
The Naval Air Systems Command, Orlando Training Systems Division (NAVAIR-ORLANDO TSD) has a requirement to develop, install and test four Automated Electrolytic Oxygen Generator (AEOG) Simulators. These are follow-on devices to those presently installed at Naval Submarine Training Center-Pacific (NSTCP), Pearl Harbor, HI and Naval Submarine School (NSS), Groton, CT. The government anticipates the issuance of a contract on a sole-source basis to Treadwell Corporation, Thomaston, CT for the satisfaction of this requirement. The primary use of this trainer will be to teach operation, maintenance, and fault isolation skills normally associated with the tactical AEOG system. Treadwell Corporation, possesses the technical data/drawings necessary to produce/manufacture the CTE. The AEOG simulator configuration must be identical to those currently installed at NSTCP Pearl Harbor and NSS Groton. The simulators will not be required to have gas production capabilities, however, the controls and indicators must respond accurately to operator inputs, as well as instructor-entered faults. A non-functional cell area, comprised of sixteen cells will allow trainees to perform required maintenance procedures on the cells. Pre-faulted modules will be used for maintenance training on the rectifier cubicle. In order to achieve total trainer functionality, modifying the AEOG-CTE controller software is a requirement. Rights to the controller software are possessed by Northrup Grumman, Sykesville, MD. Any company believing they have the capability of satisfying this requirement as prime contractor is invited to provide a technical capability statement to the contract specialist, Alan Wright at alan.wright@navy.mil or fax at 407-380-4742. The statement should include detailed information regarding arrangements made to secure the rights to the required technical data/drawings and software. All responses will be considered.
