Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a contract modification to MDC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, for implementation of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) for the F/A-18A?D type/model/series. This effort will include effort and risk mitigation required to transition existing paper technical publications to IETMs, as well as site activation activities to transition individual squadrons to an IETM maintenance environment. As the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer for the F/A-18, MDC is the only known source possessing the requisite knowledge and experience required to provide a seamless transition of existing technical publications to the new format and associated maintenance processes to prevent interruption of F/A-18 supportability at the organizational maintenance level. The period of performance is expected to be from 01 February 2005 through 30 July 2007 . This contract action will be issued as a modification to Contract N00019-C-03-0041.
