- NSN: 1680-01-143-8570JF P/N: 293E443G3 The proposed contract is sole source to BAE systems Noun: Thrust Control Actuator Item Description: The thrust control actuator is comprised of a main frame assembly, normal mode motor, a backup alternate mode motor, brake, limit switches, gear differential and a ball screw to transfer motor rotation to the throttle. Applicable to: F101-100 Engine. Destination: FB2039 Delivery: June 06 Estimated Qty: 21 Quantity Ranges will be solicited 4-10, 11-20, and 21-29 Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001 and 0002 The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 03 September 2004. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 04 October 2004. The anticipated award date will be 12 November 2004. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. First Article Test Required. No telephone requests. Contractors must obtain a copy of the solicitation from the FedBizOpps website. This office no longer mails solicitations. Specifications, plans, or drawings related to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
