Description
The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) has a requirement to perform services to develop efficient algorithms for processing the flash LADAR data obtained from a moving platform in order to detect stationary and moving objects within the sensor?s field of view. Information about the detected objects will then be used for obstacle avoidance and path planning.*****A Statement of Work (SOW), along with terms and conditions and full instructions, will be included in the solicitation document, which can be accessed in accordance with instructions provided below.*****The period of performance will be a Base Period of twelve (12) months, and one (1) Option Period of twelve (12) additional months, should the Government elect to exercise the Option Period. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Purchase Order, under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to the vendor/quoter whose quotation offers the Best Value to the Government, price and other factors considered. A price range of $20,000-$30,000 (per year) is anticipated.*****All interested, responsible, vendors/quoters may submit a quotation, which will be considered by the Government. The solicitation, any subsequent amendments thereto, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available for Contractor access, via the Internet, at http://www.fedbizopps.gov . The solicitation number is: SB1341-04-Q-0898. The Government anticipates releasing the solicitation for vendor access on or about August 24, 2004. Potential businesses/vendors are responsible for accessing the web site and must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order.*****There is no written (hard copy) solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained.*****Interested business concerns are requested to direct all questions, via email, to Tamara Grinspon, tamara.grinspon@nist.gov .*****See Numbered Note 26.
