Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. Gridgen grid generation software for use in computational fluid dynamics (CFD)flowfield analysis by the Aerodynamics Technology Functional Area, U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engin eering Center. Gridgen software from Pointwise, Inc., is the only known software capable of importing CAD/CAM model formats used by the customer, enable construction of surface and field grids for CFD flow analysis, specify conditions for user selected po rtions of the field gridm and export boundary-specified field grids in file formats for use with Wind CFD code used for mission related tasks. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to issue a purchase ord er under the provisions of FAR Part 12. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. However, all quotations received within fourtee n days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government . Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
