- Request for Information Consulting and Facility Management Services for Government Print/Duplication Production Operations This synopsis is issued for informational and planning purposes only! The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) is contemplating developing a multiple award contract vehicle under which Federal agencies could issue task orders for two general types of services pertaining to Government printing/duplicating production facilities: 1) consulting services and 2) facilities management services. The purpose of this RFI is to identify and obtain information from all responsible sources and interested parties who can offer services to meet the requirements (in total or in part) as identified below. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. This RFI is not to be construed as a formal solicitation. It does not commit the government to reply to information received, or to later publish a solicitation, or to award a contract based on this information. REQUIREMENTS: The GPO seeks to identify contractors who can provide the following services to Federal agencies who operate in-house printing and duplicating facilities: 1) Consulting Services - Contractor(s) must be able to perform utilization and efficiency analysis of existing Government printing/duplicating facilities. The contractor(s) must be able to develop and provide recommendations to maximize facility utilization and improve cost-efficiency of federal and military printing facilities. Areas for review include equipment, software, personnel, training and operating procedures. 2) Facility Management Services ? Contractor(s) must be able to provide a full range of facility management services for existing Government printing/duplicating facilities. The contractor(s) must have the ability to implement print facility management solutions to operate and manage multiple government printing establishments. Interested firms are hereby requested to submit a capability statement (10 pages or less and no marketing material) that addresses their ability to perform the services described above and identifies the company?s point of contact. Interested parties should respond by September 7, 2004.
