- Description
- This is NOT a presolicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5, but is a Market Survey to identify sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience necessary to produce the Field Deployable Environmental Control Unit (FDECU) (NSN: 4120-00-483-2880; P/N: 9454100-7). This is a build-to print requirement. The FDECU is an electric-motor driven, vapor cycle, skid-mounted air conditioner. It has a cooling capacity of 60,000BTU/hr. The unit can be adapted for use in a Nuclear-Biological-Chemical environment. The FDECU weights approximately 700lbs and measures 32? H X 42? W X 52? L. The proposed acquisition strategy is a 5-year IDIQ contract, which will continue through FY-09. The proposed quantities are estimated to be 14,570 units for the 5-year period. The potential monthly delivery quantities required could be a total of 350 units per month. This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. Additional documentation and a Contractor Capability Survey are available in FedBizOpps. The extent of foreign participation or level of security clearances required to receive a solicitation has not yet been determined. Therefore, participation in this survey may not necessarily result in your company being able to participate in the solicitation. Large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this survey. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 333415 (750 Employees) is applicable. Joint ventures or teaming arrangements may be advantageous. Responses to this survey are due prior to close of business Tuesday, 07 Sep 04. If additional information is needed, contact Tom Robertson at 478-926-6726.
