- NASA/KSC has a follow on requirement for nine (9) each PCM Decommutator Card (Description of cards: 6U VME (D64), PCM Decommutator w/Simulator, 10 bps to 20 bps (TF Module Capable), Base Memory 32 KB Option ? IRIG Time Code Reader), Part Number 4422-V64-1000, manufactured by SBS Technologies, Incorporated, Albuquerque, New Mexico. NASA/KSC intends to purchase these Decommutator Cards from SBS Technologies, Incorporated, Albuquerque, New Mexico. This source is the only known firm that has the unique ability to furnish the required electronic materials, and has previously provided the identical electronic materials to NASA-KSC in the past. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform this effort in writing by mail, fax, email to Mr. Christopher J. Grubbe, not later than 12 NOON Eastern Daylight Time on Tuesday, August 17, 2004. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
