Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items (non-personal services) prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR FAC 2001-20. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and is issued as a Request for Quotation. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Solicitation Number is FA4809-04-Q-0364. The NAICS code 336411 applies to this solicitation. The size standard is 1,500 employees. The item description is as follows: Fabricate Mounting System and Mount F-86 Static Display at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. DESCRIPTION: Statement of Work The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, tools, materials, transportation, and any other items necessary to fabricate parts, install, and mount a Static Displayed Aircraft (F-86E) on-site, as is, where is, at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. Contractor will be responsible for installing and locking the landing gears (to include tires and brake assemblies) within the aircraft prior to mounting onto pedestal. Contractor will fabricate and install mounting plate system to F-86E wing box assembly prior to start of F-86E restoration by Seymour Johnson AFB personnel. Contractor is responsible for fabricating and providing top section of pedestal identical to previous pedestal design for F-100 static display at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC to include the base plate with the proper angle and bank that is desired for this display. The Pitch (tail to nose up) is 10 degrees and the Bank to the left (wing to wing) is 10 degrees. In-addition Contractor will coordinate with base Civil Engineering on a mutually agreed blueprinted aircraft attach point to the locally constructed ground support. Seymour Johnson/Civil Engineering will provide complete pedestal base and center section of pedestal. The contractor will crane lift the aircraft, install the lock and landing gear within the aircraft, and attach it to the provided center section of pedestal. Department of Labor Wage Determination number 94- 2393 Rev (25) is to be used during the contract, www.ceals.usace.army.mil.
