Description
This U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration, has a requirement to remove fuel and lubrication oil from the ex-VANDENBERG, an obsolete ocean-going vessel currently at anchorage in the James River Reserve Fleet near Fort Eustis, VA. The vessel is to be prepared for towage to a contractor-operated facility where fuel and lubrication oil can be safely removed. All work shall be in compliance with the latest Regulatory Body requirements. The term, "Regulatory Bodies" includes the, United States Coast Guard, United States Public Health Service, and the Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Federal (FED-OSHA. Statement of Work includes Contractor to provide: tow preparation and towing, tank diagnostic work, fuel and lube oil removals, vessel stability and ballasting, booming of the vessel, gas free certificates, and cleaning of the vessel. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
