Description
This is a Request For Information (RFI) issued by the Department of the Navy, Fleet Industrial and Supply Center, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (FISC, PSNS), located at Bremerton, WA 98314-5000. FISC, PSNS is in the process of preparing a contemplated procurement package to purchase for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6. This RFI is a contemplated requirement for 1-each, Model 680 Vibration Transducer Calibration System with Model S032 Calibration Shaker, power console, and Vwin-C controller or equal. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334519 with a small business size standard of 500. Please indicate your size standard based on the NAICS code. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or to otherwise pay for information received in response to this RFI. This RFI is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. Whatever information is provided in response to this RFI will be used to assess tradeoffs and alternatives available for determining how to proceed in the acquisition process. The Government will not be obligated to pursue any particular acquisition alternative as a result of this RFI. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. It is anticipated that any solicitation resulting from this RFI will be subject to full and open competition. FISC, PSNS contemplated requirement is for1-each, Model 680 Vibration Transducer Calibration System with Model S032 Calibration Shaker rated at 150 lbs PK force output (2HP cooling blower, 2187-N Ceramic inserts, SK1288-N velocity transducer adapter, 8B6 working ref and Std accelerometers, power console (1.5KVA output, DC field power supply), power console, and Vwin-C controller, Pentium 4, 256 MB RAM, 60GB HDD, CD ROM Drive, 17? Display. Power requirement: 3 phases 208-240V AC 60Hz, k40A DIM: 8?L x 4?W x 7?H, Weight: approximately 1,700 lbs. The equipment will be used for calibration of vibration shipboard accelerometers, vibration transducers required for fleet ships with automated propulsion control systems in accordance with Instrument Calibration Procedure (ICP 17-20SV-06, 08, and 13). The following information should also be provided in response to this RFI: 1. Price estimate for the equipment that meet listed requirements and warranty. 2. Evidence of ability to meet performance requirements listed in the paragraph above. 3. Company?s estimated lead-time for the delivery of the system.
