- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to negotiate a contract for the procurement of eight (8) Fitting Set, Rynglok, P/N RTSK8-02-01 to be used on the V-22 aircraft. The Rynglok tool kit is portable self-contained tool; lit designed to install rynglok fitting sizes 03 through 24. Design features include: small envelope; light weight; hand operated; minimum skill/training; works with all tubing materials and wall thicknesses. The tool kit includes: case; hand pump assembly; marking gage tools; 12? hose assembly, inspection gages; marking pen; and instructional video tape. The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment and consumable supplies to manufacture in its entirety. This requirement is for supplies for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to procure from Eaton Aeroquip Corp. under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c ) (1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1 and under an approved Justification and Approval (J&A). Eaton is the only company with requisite knowledge and technical capability to manufacture the Fitting Set, Rynglok. Firms that recognize and produce the required item described are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
