Description
Time charter of a US or foreign flag self-sustaining LIFT ON/LIFT OFF vessel (coaster) with a minimum capacity of 250 ammo-laden TEUs. There are 203 TEUs leaving Nordenham on the same vessel. 91 TEUs are bound for Norway and 112 TEUs are bound for Sweden. The average weight of the 91 TEUs from Nordenham to Norway is: 13.28 ST. The average weight of the 112 TEUs from Nordenham to Sweden is 10.01 ST. The average weight of the 203 TEUs is 11.47 ST. NEW is 493,910 lbs. Applicable Hazmat Classes: 1.1D, 1.21D, 1.1E, 1.21E, and 1.22E. Need for cargo separation: TBD. Vessel shall be self-sustaining with crane(s) capable of lifting a minimum of 30 short tons in one lift. Vessel is required to have lashing points and provide all lashing gear. Minimum laden speed: 14 knots in moderate weather. Vessel maximum draft: 7.5 meters. Vessel maximum length: 120 meters. In accordance with the Cargo Preference Act of 1904 and Section IIIA.3 of the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) (see 68 FEDERAL REGISTER 8800-8808, February 25, 2003), preference will be given to U.S. flag vessels and VISA participants. Under the Cargo Preference Act of 1904, any reflagging or repair work to: (1) enable the vessel to meet applicable standards to become a vessel of the United States; or (2) to convert the vessel to a more militarily useful configuration; must be performed in the United States.
