- Direction Finding Systems. The U.S. Army CERDEC is conducting a market survey of Direction Finding (DF) Systems for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases. The systems will be in stationary and mobile configurations. The mobile configuration may be in tegrated into commercial or military vehicles as part of the effort. This market survey may be used for more than one FMS case. Each case has different requirements. Vendors that have systems that do not satisfy all of the requirements listed below, or exceed them, are encouraged to submit information on their DF systems. Requirements may be modified to achieve the best value for each case. Frequency range: 20 MHz to 3 GHz (or portions thereof); System DF accuracy: 2 to 5 degrees; Demodulation: AM, LSB, USB, FM, and CW; Manual and automatic operation with automatic frequency scanning, scanning selected frequencies, and spectrum monitoring; Recording of intercepted signals for later analysis; Local or remote/network operation; Man-machine interface includes display of intercepts/geo-locations on digital maps and display of signal characteristics; Power 110/220 VAC, 50-60 Hz, and DC; Global positioning system receiver may be required. A one or two year warrantee is required. Warrantee service may be required in the foreign country. Operator and maintainer training are required with a high probability of training taking place in the foreign country. Manufacturer must support the syste ms with repair service, spare parts and technical assistance for at least 10 to 15 years. Initial spares are usually procured. Software licenses will be included. System documentation is required in hard and soft copy. Translation to a foreign language may be required. Responses can be of any format. Supplemental materials, such as brochures, white papers, briefings, specification sheets, lab and field test results, cost and schedule information, export licenses, etc. are welcome. If you choose to submit proprietary information, mark it accordingly. Classified information will be accepted, but mark it accordingly and send it via proper channels.
