RESPONSE DATE 08-16-2004 CONTACT Lisa M. Botella, Contracting Officer, (215)233-6551, fax (215) 233-6558 The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), intends to negotiate solely with Synthetic Industries in Gainesville, GA to furnish and deliver the following items: ITEM 01: QTY 20; UNIT EA - Pollination Cage (6 ft. x 12 ft. x 12 ft.) ITEM 02: QTY 20; UNIT EA - Pollination Cage (6 ft. x 12 ft. x 24 ft.) ITEM 03: QTY 20; UNIT EA - Pollination Cage (6 ft. x 12 ft. x 48 ft.). Each cage has a 6' zipper on each end of the cage, reinforced corners, 20 x 20 white lumite (UV resistant) mesh and 18 inch plastic shirt at the bottom. Each cage includes a standard commercial warranty. The cage covers will be used to create a controlled pollination environment between vegetable accessions. These items shall be delivered FOB Destination to the USDA, ARS, Plant Germplasm Research Unit (PGRU) in Geneva, NY within three weeks of receipt of the order. The order may be placed by a Government Visa credit Card. Companies with the demonstrated capability and financial capacity to provide and service such equipment must submit a written substantive statement outlining the Company?s and systems? capabilities to the Contracting Officer within 5 days of publication of this notice. This is not a request for proposal. No solicitation is available.
