- Description
- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS), in support of U.S. Naval Hospital Guam, is soliciting for a firm fixed price supply type contract for the supply of medical laboratory test reagents and various other lab supplies. The acquisition will be procured as a sole source to manufacturers Abbott Laboratories, Fisher Scientific, Sigma, Accra, and BBL, but competed between distributors of each company. U.S. Naval Hospital Guam currently utilizes Abbott?s PPC Commander to test the reagents and only additional items supplied by the other companies listed above are compatible with Abbott?s testing machine. Both refrigerated and non-refrigerated items will be shipped FOB destination to Guam with inspection and acceptance at destination while heavy and/or hazardous items will be shipped FOB destination to Tracy, CA, also with inspection and acceptance at destination. A single award will be made for all items. The commercial solicitation will be issued as a small business set-aside (competed among distributors) on or about 12 August 2004 with a closing date of 2 September 2004. Per FAR 5.203(h), the solicitation closing date has been reduced to 28 days from this announcement. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to joshua.c.carter@navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. Please do not call with questions regarding the posting of the solicitation on NECO until after the posting date, 12 August 2004. No bidder list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ / amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same. To be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time.
