Description

The Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center intends to procure four (4) each hose assemblies “Helicopter In Flight Refueling Rig” (HIFR). NSN 4720-01-372-6533 manufactured by Eaton Aeroquip, Inc. This will be a stand-alone one-time buy contract. The Eaton Aeroquip hose assemblies make possible the delivery of aviation fuel from a Coast Guard Cutter to a helicopter during underway missions while the helicopter hovers just above the cutter. This capability is critical to enable the extended Coast Guard missions when conditions make it unsafe to land the helicopter on the cutter. The assemblies shall be delivered to: United States Coast Guard, Engineering Logistics Center, Warehouse Bldg 88, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. This will be other than full and open competition using OEM Eaton Aeroquip, Inc. Concerns, other than the OEM, were given the opportunity to submit their capabilities in response to the Sources Sought Notice HSCG40-04-R-HIFR published on June 23, 2004. A solicitation is forth coming and will be released on or about August 18, 2004.
