- Description: Development of a comprehensive assessment of education and training in Geriatric Physical Therapy and to make recommendations for enhancing education and training in the field. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is conducting a sources sought synopsis to locate capable organizations providing of a comprehensive assessment of education and training in Geriatric Physical Therapy and to make recommendations for enhancing education and training in the field. The purpose of this contract is to support the development of a comprehensive assessment of education and training in Geriatric Physical Therapy and to make recommendations for enhancing education and training in the field. Under the contract, the contractor shall complete the following major tasks: 1. Establish, convene and provide background material to a Technical Advisory Group (TAG) composed of experts in Geriatric Physical Therapy. The TAG will help guide the planning and development of the ?White Paper? and review draft components of the ?White Paper.? 2. Develop a series of preliminary papers on selected aspects of education and training in Geriatric Physical Therapy. 3. Develop a final ?White Paper? which covers the state of the art in education and training in Geriatric Physical Therapy and makes recommendations along with rationales, expected outcomes, and responsible agents for enhancing education and training in the field. Interested organizations should submit their capability statements demonstrating their capability to perform this work in sufficient detail to assess their ability. Potential contractors must have expertise in Geriatric Physical Therapy. Because the White Paper is to have an impact on education and training in this technical field, it is important that the writer is a recognized expert in this field. The expertise and positive reputation of the author should bring credibility and prestige to the final product. Interested organizations must demonstrate and document, in any capability statements submitted, extensive experience with, and the ability to perform, the above tasks. Organizations should demonstrate capability to administer and coordinate interrelated tasks in an effective and timely manner. Documentation may include, but not be limited to, Government and commercial contracts, providing references (with Names, telephone numbers, and email address) and any other information serving to document the organization's capability.
